Need Help Finding an NHS Dentist?
NHS Devon used to run a Dental Helpline where people could register for help finding an NHS dentist. This was sometimes called a waiting list, but it wasn’t regularly updated — so some people on the list may no longer need a dentist or may already have one.
Because of this, the Dental Helpline is no longer adding new patients to the list. NHS Devon is currently looking at better ways to support people who are already on it.
What to Do If You Need a Dentist Now
If you’re looking for dental care, here’s what you can do:

To find an NHS dentist taking new patients, visit the NHS Find a Dentist website

Dentists are not like GPs – you’re not registered in the same way.

You can go to any NHS dental practice that’s accepting new patients, even if it’s not in your local area.

Many dental practices offer a mix of NHS and private treatment.
