Hello Yellow Day 2025

Join us and participate in Hello Yellow!

We’re excited to announce that we are participating in Hello Yellow today, an event that raises awareness for young people’s mental health and highlights the support available for those who may be struggling. Whether you’re in the classroom, at work, or at home, this is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and spark conversations about young people’s mental health.

Hello Yellow is traditionally a vibrant event that encourages people all over the country to wear yellow and share their stories and experiences related to mental health. Today is dedicated to promoting understanding, empathy, and support for young individuals who may be facing mental health challenges.

Mental and emotional well-being of our team members and patients has always been a priority, which is why we joined the Hello Yellow movement back in 2021, and have continued to celebrate the event every year since!

This year we are participating in the event by:

  • Wearing yellow to show young people they are not alone with their mental health.
  • Hosting a bake sale for our staff to raise much needed funds for the Young Minds charity.
  • Educating patients about Hello Yellow and Young Minds in our waiting rooms.
  • Sharing mental health resources online and on social media.
  • Starting conversations about mental health with friends, family, or colleagues.

Mental health is a crucial topic that deserves attention and compassion, and together, we can create a world where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued.

We extend our gratitude to all our team members and supporters who join us in celebrating Hello Yellow Day!

Let’s brighten up the day and support young people across the UK.

Support for young people and their parents/carers:

Nexus PCN (Health & Wellbeing Team)

Nexus PCN work alongside GPs to provide a more comprehensive approach to mental health. We help patients by creating a personalised care plan, to manage your health more effectively. This often involves working on lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, and mental wellness strategies.

Our team is comprised of Social Prescribing Link Workers who connect patients with non-medical support within the community, and Health & Wellbeing Coaches who work with patients on behaviour change, helping them adopt healthier habits.

The team also provide direct support by referring patients to mental health specialists, such as Talkworks, Devon’s NHS talking therapy service, plus, the team offer support in managing stress, anxiety, and depression through patient-focussed interventions.

By working closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals, we aim to prevent illnesses before it becomes serious, identifying patients at risk early and providing support to manage conditions proactively.

Heads Up

We want to get everyone talking about their mental health as freely as we talk about our physical health. We work with children and young people, promoting understanding, raising awareness and breaking down the stigma that surrounds mental health issues.

Parental Minds

We support families who are struggling with their mental health. We believe that the parental voice is vital when families are living with mental health issues; this under pins all our work. We help parents and caregivers tackle a range of mental health struggles, including those that cause harm to themselves, anxiety, and attendance wellbeing.
