When you book an appointment with a doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional, that time is set aside especially for you. Attending your appointment, or letting us know in advance if you can’t attend, plays a vital role in helping us provide timely care to everyone in our community.
Missed appointments have a real impact. When a booked slot goes unattended, it cannot always be filled at short notice. This means valuable clinical time is lost, while other patients who may need care urgently continue to wait longer for an available appointment.
Many patients in our community are waiting to be seen. By attending your appointment as planned, you have ensure that healthcare services run efficiently and that those who need care are seen as quickly as possible. If you know you can’t attend, cancelling, or rescheduling in advance allows us to offer that appointment to another patient who may be waiting.
We understand that unexpected situations arise, and sometimes plans change. That’s why we encourage all patients to let us know as soon as possible if they are unable to attend. A quick phone call can make a big difference.
By keeping your appointment, or cancelling in good time, you are helping us reduce waiting times, make the best use of clinical resources, and ensure fair access to care for everyone.
