BMA Strike Action – We Are Open

The British Medical Association (BMA) has confirmed that resident doctors will take part in strike action from 7am on Friday 25 July until 7am on Wednesday 30 July 2025.

GP practices aren’t affected and will continue to be open as normal during the resident doctors strike.
Please continue to attend your GP appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.

During this time, all other NHS staff—will continue to work, and the NHS will prioritise delivering care safely and maintaining as many services as possible.

The NHS is working closely with unions to ensure emergency care remains safely staffed, and that any patient safety concerns are addressed.

If you or someone you care for needs urgent or emergency medical attention, it’s vital to seek help as usual by calling Tel: 999 or attending A&E.

You can continue to use NHS 111 (Tel: 111)  or visit: https://111.nhs.uk/ for non-emergencies.
