Blood Pressure Awareness Week 2025

Blood Pressure Awareness Week 2025

This week, we’re raising awareness about high blood pressure, often called the “silent killer”. High blood pressure usually has no obvious symptoms, but if left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems such as stroke and heart attack.

Did you know? Over 1 in 4 adults in England are affected by high blood pressure. In fact, at least half of all heart attacks and strokes are linked to it. That’s why it’s so important to know your numbers.

You can have your blood pressure checked at:

  1. Your GP surgery
  2. Your local pharmacy
  3. At home using your own device

If your GP has asked you to record your blood pressure readings, please submit them online via our website: https://www.mountpleasanthealthcentre.co.uk/home-blood-pressure-recordings/
