A Change is Coming…
From Tuesday 10th January we will be moving to a new way of working. This will involve a change in the way patient’s are triaged and how appointments will be booked.
Total Triage Model
We will be changing to a ‘total triage model’ which means that every patient who contacts the practice will be asked to provide our receptionists with detailed information on the reason for their call. This information will then be passed to our triage team, and they will determine what actions will be required.
eConsult
The health centre will adopt an eConsult first approach. The eConsult service is a way to contact your GP practice online by filling out a form, giving our receptionists a lot of the information they need in order to provide you with the best care possible. Your eConsult will be actioned and you may be sign posted to a more appropriate service or clinician.
Calling the Health Centre
You will still be able to call the health centre and speak to a receptionist regarding any query. If you need help with a new or existing problem, you will be triaged in a similar way to filling out an eConsult.
If you need to order repeat prescriptions, the quickest way for a request to be processed is by calling and pressing option one to use our automated service.
Emergency Care
The advice on emergency care will stay the same:
