Minor Surgery & Injections

About Minor Surgery Procedures

Minor surgery refers to small medical procedures that are usually done under local anaesthetic. These procedures are typically quick, low-risk, and don’t require a hospital stay.

We run regular minor surgery clinics and these appointments can only be arranged following a clinician’s recommendation.

Our minor surgery services include the removal of non-sinister cysts, moles, and skin tags—particularly those that are prone to irritation from clothing or at risk of recurring infection.

Minor surgery sessions and injections are carried out our qualified clinicians: Dr Hopkins, Dr Collyer, Dr Scammell, Dr Shafafi, Dr Crighton, Dr Sandercombe, Dr Whaley, Dr Finn, Dr Hanwell & Mr Loh (FCP Physiotherapist).

If you believe you may need a minor procedure, please contact us via an eConsult or by calling 01392 255722. We will review your request and arrange an assessment appointment if appropriate.

Preparing for Minor Surgery

Before your procedure:

  • We will explain the procedure in full, including the reason for it.
  • You’ll have the chance to ask any questions and explore alternative options, including the option of not having surgery.
  • If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll ask you to sign a consent form.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to help the clinic run smoothly.
  • We recommend arranging for someone to accompany you to and from your appointment.
  • While complications are rare, we advise against using public transport alone afterward in case you feel unwell.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You won’t need to fully undress—only the affected area will need to be exposed.
  • The procedure may be done under local anaesthetic using a very fine needle. You may feel mild discomfort during the injection, but the area will quickly go numb, and you won’t feel any pain during the procedure.
  • Except for a parent accompanying a child, we’re unable to accommodate companions in the surgery room. They are welcome to wait in the waiting area.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
