How to switch on notifications in the NHS app

The NHS App lets you receive secure messages from your GP practice.

These messages are safe, reliable, and aren’t limited to certain character limits like traditional SMS messages.

To make sure you don’t miss messages from your GP practice, turn on notifications in your NHS app.

1. Open the NHS App on your smartphone
2. Tap account Settings (top right corner)
3. Scroll down to settings and tap on notifications
4. Tap go to device settings
5. Tap notifications
6. Enable notifications

Once enabled, you will receive messages from your GP practice whenever there is an important update about your healthcare.
