What is a Patient Participation Group (PPG)?
A PPG is a group of patients and health centre staff who come together to discuss patient experience and matters related to healthcare services provided by Mount Pleasant Health Centre. The primary purpose of a PPG is to ensure that the voices and perspectives of patients are considered in the decision-making processes of the health centre.
Who can join the PPG?
Mount Pleasant Health Centre’s PPG is a collective group of people who each bring something different to the group. Its members (aged 16+) are volunteers and registered patients of Mount Pleasant Health Centre and we welcome people from all different ages, backgrounds and experiences.
Members can attend PPG meetings, approximately six times a year, and are usually held in evenings at the health centre for just over an hour.
New members are welcome at any time. You do not need to be able to attend any of the meetings we hold, you can be a ‘virtual’ group member.
As a virtual member you will still receive the meeting papers and you can provide your feedback outside of the meetings.
Members are also included in a regular email distribution list which provides local news, information, and a route for members to supply their views and questions for upcoming meetings.

You may also visit the health centre and request a PPG contact form, please return it to the health centre when you have completed it.

On occasion the PPG would like to contact its members by email and/or text message so that we can obtain the views and opinions of the widest group possible. By becoming a member of the PPG, you agree to the Mount Pleasant Health Centre Privacy Policy.
